At STORYco our focus is people. We capture the heart of your products, services and brand and craft them into simple and effective visual communications. You are the identity. We create photography and videos for mobile devices and websites that lead with your personality. We design differently than most, in that we start with content. i.e. beautiful photography and engaging videos that share your passion and explain what you do.

You most likely have a website. However, is it functional? Does it represent who you are and what you do? Would someone visiting your website learn something new about you and your company that makes them want to call you, buy from you or come and visit your store or premises?

We will build a home to host your story. It will be simple, elegant, uncluttered and to the point. We think that’s what most businesses need in a website.

We’re visual story-tellers and our focus is capturing a great story that’ll engage your customers and keep them coming back to you.

Following a consultation meeting with the owners, John and June Tilly, where we discussed their needs for a web presence that included an online gallery to showcase many of the beautiful local arts and crafts that they stock, and contact information to help local residents and tourists travelling in Southern Tasmania find the gallery. Stu Harris photographed the interiors, exterior, products and portraits for the website. The gallery is bright, beautifully renovated and a welcome rest for travellers seeking to discover local arts. Pottery, glassware, leather goods, ceramics, jewellery, paintings, drawings and wood carvings are amongst some of the items available to purchase.

We wanted to create a website that reflected the art on display at the Kingdom Gallery. We believe that the design of the website demonstrates with simple elegance what visitors can expect when they visit in person.

Visit the Kingdom Gallery today online, or in person at 2 Grace Street, Hamilton, Tasmania.

The tight 2 week shooting schedule is mostly shot on location at Gabbinbar Homestead located just outside Toowoomba, Queensland. Everyone is volunteering their time and expertise to this project. The Grassroots initiative is designed to inspire young and up and coming creatives to collaborate on projects overcoming financial barriers to entry into the fiercely competitive motion picture industry. The Custodian is the first project to have been developed by SPARC. Hopefully this event will have sparked enough enthusiasm to ensure that a second project is not far behind it.

The Custodian is about a young man who takes a gap year to work on a cattle station, however instead of finding his new place of employment, he stumbles across the gates to heaven. The film is about love and forgiveness, and explores how God’s love is not forced on us, it is something we are free to accept or reject.

The film moves into post-production in February, and is expected to be completed for first screening in June/July 2012. A documentary supporting the behind the scenes action and “how to” materials will be released around the same time. Regular news updates from the set of The Custodian can be viewed on the productions Facebook page.

Pick any day, the shopping mall is probably the most stressful place to be as people rush back and forth hunting for the perfect gift for their friends and families. Every year we promise ourselves that we’ll spend less and shop earlier. While it feels like consumerism has well and truly overtaken the true meaning of Christmas it’s not all greed and gluttony.

Today I got a behind the scenes look at Santa’s grotto… well almost, it was actually the Salvation Army’s sorting house where volunteers unpack, sort, pick and package-up gifts for children who might otherwise get nothing for Christmas. When you give a git to the Kmart Wishing Tree or the ABC Giving Tree this is where it’ll end up. Van’s pull up each day during the early weeks of December loaded with new toys. Peter, a retired store-man organises the shelves whilst volunteers walk around with their picking lists choosing gifts that are appropriate for the age of the child on their list. Next, the gifts are labelled ready for wrapping and then finally either collected or delivered to the needy child. But it’s not just toys that the Salvos deliver for Christmas, but also food parcels containing tinned and preserved festive food.

This is a very good story, one worth getting involved in. Love and goodwill is still available. At a Salvo near you.
